Australian resume format: example and tips
In Australia both “resume” and “CV” are used. Australian resumes are often a little longer than American ones, and many list referees at the end.

Local tips
- A short career summary and a “Key skills” list near the top are common.
- Many employers expect two referees at the end (name, title, phone), or “Referees available on request”.
- State your work rights clearly, for example “Australian citizen” or your visa type.
- Government jobs may ask you to address selection criteria in a separate document.
Is this format ATS-friendly?
Yes. Whatever the country, keep one column, real text and standard headings. Every CV made with Seerty is built this way, so you can follow local customs without confusing applicant tracking systems.
Customs change between employers and industries. When a job post asks for something specific, follow the job post.
