Local tips
- Use Canadian spelling (colour, centre) and keep the tone direct.
- Volunteer work is valued in Canada: list it when it shows useful skills.
- If you are new to Canada, you can say you are eligible to work (for example “Permanent resident”) in your summary or under your name.
- For roles in Quebec or bilingual jobs, prepare a French version too.
Is this format ATS-friendly?
Yes. Whatever the country, keep one column, real text and standard headings. Every CV made with Seerty is built this way, so you can follow local customs without confusing applicant tracking systems.
Customs change between employers and industries. When a job post asks for something specific, follow the job post.
